Default A lot of questions

I recently acquired a new MP4 player, a Nano clone (actually, my old one broke, and I got a new one with a firmware upgrade - three new games, graphic changes, faster AMV playback). It works quite well so far (from what you could expect from a Action chipset) and plays music as I need. S1clone can't make a firmware dump for some reason, but that's alright, for now.
Anyway, I was just wondering what I can do right now with it. With the releases of S1clone and S1res, and dancemammal's tools, anything has changed in the realm of v.9.XXX players?
Also, i was wondering if anyone could give me a hand searching the firmware library. It's a mess, and I can't seem to find anything there.

Firmware details (from player setup):

9.0.50
2005-01-09

One last thing, which firmware to use aside from the native one in the Mini-Disc provided with the player? I already tried Bytessence AMV converter (too slow). What can I use next? And can anyone recommend me a good AMV reader?
