Can't format because I don't have system utilitities

Hey

I brought a 8GB mp4 player off ebayand I'm unsure about its true capacity. I can't format because I don't seem to have system utilitities on the disk that came with the mp4 player.

Is anyone able to identify the memory size by looking at the memory chip serial number? The chip number is AK1025 29F8G08MAA

Any help would be appreciated.

jarvo_325 , the Samsung 29F8G08MAA (i presume due to the serial structure) would be a 1GigaByte memory chip, and not 8GigaBytes as advertised.

Follow the format guide as posted by Th3_uN1Qu3 earlier on to remove the hack.
