can we have a link to the player please
and are you sure uxcel do not have te firmware already as they do usually provide firmwares in their download area.
why is it going wrong?
uxcell are very good at customer relations, so i suggest trying to get a replacement rather than bugger the player all together

Re: sunplus multi media usb device

Hi bought this uxcell player from ebay, it does not seem to have any name or numbers, I simply plugged in the mp3 player uploaded my mp3s then clicked on "safely remove media" and the drive imediately displayed drive not formated!

It is still recognised by the computer after I formated it and allows me to put in mp3s but will not play as I don't have the firmware and it is hard to detect the exact model. when I click on properties it displays the drive as "Sunplus Multi-media USB device".

Could it be my USB port not working properly that disconected the MP3 player prematurly? I am replacing that this weekend as I have had other probs with it. But not just sure how to get this firmware the sunplus site does not seem to have a download area.

Thanks for your help

Rich

Hi barney,

Who did you buy it from in eBay? Was it an UXcell seller or another player selling a similar player but not actually a UXcell branded player?

It's hard to get Sunplus firmware. In your player, did you remember if there was any FOLDERS in there before you formatted it? I know with some players, you need to put music in SPECIFIC folders for the player to play them.

Try creating a "music" or "mp3" folder, put the music files there and see if your player plays them. It's worth a try.

Have you also contacted the seller about this problem as well?
