[solved] MP4 Player Disk Error
Hi There,
I bought a cheap ipod nano 'look a like' from ebay about 6 months ago. It was working fine until one day when my daughter tried to play music but it keep coming up with a blue screen saying "Disk Error!". I'm not sure of the brand but I can still get into setup details and get the following information: Firmware Version- MP3 PLAYER LSD_9312_10 2006_12_28 9.1.50 2005_01_09 I can still play the radio on it but anything that access the memory I get 'Disk Error'. Also when I connect the usb to the computer its comes up with the connect screen on the mp4 playerbut my computer does not recognise it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Julie. |
I have the same disk error from a 2GB model bought less than one month ago.
My firmware is MP3 PLAYER LKC_9112_10 2007_03_16 9.0.50 2005_01_09 At present I have emailed the vendor (local with 100% feedback) and am awaiting a reply. |

Most likely your player has been hacked to show more memory that what is really on the player. |
Re: MP4 Player Disk Error
have u treid formatting the player?
I used to have the same problem. |
I recieved an email back from the vendor this evening suggesting that I format the player ( I had contemplated doing this originally but figured I should wait until I heard back ).
So I formatted it and it came up as 1.9GB (sold to me as 2GB), so all appears to be fine for the moment. |
teviotbob,
Are you still getting the "disk error" after the format? If so, is this for ALL files or only when trying to play video files? |
Disk error is gone completely, but my son has not used video files on it yet.
I will check with him in the morning to see if he has any. |
I checked with my son and he has not tried any video files on the player.
It is still working fine. |
Re: [solved] MP4 Player Disk Error
Hi ,
I have exactly the same problem, so I think I should format the player. However I don't know if I can use the "windows xp" format or if I should use the MP3PlayerUtilities (I already removed successfully the memory hack one year ago, but now it's another problem, this disk error) In fact I'm scared that if I format with windows I will loose the firmware on my player Thanks a lot |
bnas,
there is now way a firmware of a player will be destroyed by formating with windows..perform full format..not quick..it may solve the prob |
