Computer wont recognise any player
 

I plug my mp3/mp4 into my computer and nothing happens. I even tried a different cable and on a different computer. I'm not even sure if it's charging when I plug it into the charger. It looks like a 3rd gen Nano.

foxmustangman , does the player function properly by itself? If so, then probably the USB connector on the player is damaged or a solder connection has gone loose.

what do i do about that then?

foxmustangman , you could open the player and do a visual inspection of the circuit board. Look for any solder that has broke off.
