Latest firmware version and how to change menu style?

and by da way can i change da menu style...?is it possibe..

Hi ramnath,

Is there anything wrong with your player at the moment and that is why you are looking for the firmware of your player? Or you are just wanting to 'upgrade' your player with a newer firmware?

i tried to upgrade the firmware to a new 1 and when i do so but nothing happends..da firmware doesnt get upgraded..plz help....its not a dead player cause i can on it and play music.....i think da firmware is currpted
i dont hav a back up firmware also...

Its working. I tried to upgrade da version to a newer 1 but i cant.....tis is da screenshot....i downloaded some firmwares but when i add them from tat mp3 upgrade da same name,producer,version(3.00). etc came tat is shown on the right of da pic..

so wat to do..?

Well, if I was you I WOULD NOT change the firmware as there is a 99% chance you will brick your players.

With Actions Chipset Players- such as most nano clones, if the new firmware works it isn't going to actually change anything....

then how to change da theme....s1res is da software and i hav it...cant save the bin files as they say i need to register...isnt there anotherway without register.

Hi ramnath,

Unfortunately s1res is now in commerical release which means you will need to purchase it if you want to make any changes or saves to your firmware using s1res. The demo will let you see how it works, but won't let you save anything to it unfortunately.

Also, remember, it's highly recommended you modify YOUR FIRMWARE and don't use anyone else's. There are LOTS of variations in firmware and versions that if you put an incompatible firmware on your player, you have a high chance of getting a DEAD PLAYER.

There was a shareware version of s1res still floating around.

Yeh, I still have the freeware version. However, it's older, so may not be able to read the newer firmware files properly. That's the drawback.
