How to replace or fix a battery

I thought my player's battery was going dead. So when I took it apart, I notice that the wires from the battery are connected to the motherboard or whatever you call it. The black wire had came aloose and now the red wire is aloose. Is there a place that I can take it to get it fixed or am I better off just buying another one.

If you know how to solder you can do it yourself. If you don't know how, then take it to a mobile phone repair center, they will fix it for you. If they charge more than a few bucks for it then they're ripping you off.

Since our last email. I could not find a place to take it in my area. Is there a way that I can get a picture of where the wires are suppose to go on my 4gb Nano Clone. I took it a computer shop and he solder it where he thought it should go but I think he has the wires backwards.

You can check it yourself.
I bet there are two signs + (plus) and - (minus) on the mainboard.

Black cable should be soldered to -
Red cable should be soldered to +
