mp3 player wont play music
Hi, unfortunately i,ve recently found out that I purchased an mp3 player with the memory hack, I bought a 1gb ipod shuffle style players, it was working fine but as i was putting more songs onto it I got an error and now it doesn't play any music, I checked the memory on it and it says 210mb, so i take it a got a 256mb instead of 1gb, im still waiting to on a reply from the ebay seller (skilevi).
I formatted the player but it still doesnt play any music, the pc recognises it and I can put songs onto it but still nothing, is there anyway this can be fixed? The mp3 player is ipod shuffle style clip on and is unbranded, I dont know how to check for firmware on this sorry thanks ladyreal |
I have one and I found the root can only have a certain amount of songs.
Make a new folder and put the new music you are putting on it in there. |
Re: mp3 player wont play music
Thanks i,ve tried that and nothing, when I open it on the pc there wasn't any folders i just drag and dropped them into it, it doesn,t have a screen on it to go into the root folder, I,ve also got an mp4 player and can put folders on that with no problem at all, usually when I switch it on the light goes on the starts to flash as it plays, now the light just stays on.

Every player has a root directory, once you open the removable disk e.g. E Drive that is the root of the drive.
Double click the drive in My Computer, once you are inside it right click and then click new then click new folder. Now try pasting the music into there. |
Re: mp3 player wont play music
hi thanks but still nothing, i,ve noticed that although the pc detects the mp3 player when I try to use the mp3 player disk tool the device is not detected by the software, i,ve tried different software but its still the same, I think there might be something wrng with the player itself.
thanks |
MP3 Player Utilities for me always says 'Removable disk not detected' or something similar as I was not using a Actions Based Player.
Contact the seller you purchased it from and hopefully they give you a replacement or a refund :) |
