Default "Format error" on Nano 3rd Gen Fake ipod

I have a fake 8 GB ipod with no labelling.

Click the image to open in full size.

when i load anything on it, it will dont play and i get format error.

also i open it and i get three files that open up to the files Music, Pictures, Videos which are repeated multiple times within themselves.

the firmware info is

2007-12-10
9.1.52
2005-01-09

I have Vista and it can't find the drive in the Disk Manager.
any help is highly appreciated.
thanks in advance.

Hi,

There is a 99% chance that your player is hacked and really is 2GB or even 1GB chip.

I recommend you do this guide: http://mympxplayer.org/how-to-removi...ck-vt2400.html

Why can't you use the disk format tool?

I am unsure if you use the HP disk format tool but I guess it is worth a try.

DO NOT bother changing the firmware on your player as there is a 99% chance that you will kill it.

demonlynx , perhaps try another version besides those listed in the guide (eg 4.09, etc), they are available in the downloads section.

Alternatively you can try using the HP Format tool as well.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
