mp4 audio issues
 

Get my son a mp4 player for xmass off of Ebay. It was working fine at first then the headset jack went out, had to jiggle it and so forth. Right be4 it went out we noticed te sound play back from songs we put on it there was little to no VOICE, or if it was there it was like it was 2 miles aways. Well then the head jack issue so I sent it back.
We got the replacement today and we are still having the sound issues from stuff downloaded to it. The FM radio sound is fine, correct but any tunes we loaded to it, the voice in a tune is like the tuner was recorded in studio with the vioce track turned down. We also getting a scratchey sound with every tune. Head set is a good one. This is a second unit that is doing the same things. The unit is from some place in China. AM i dealing with lousy equip or what?

If the problem persists, it might be likely to be a hardware issue as you have suspected.
