Default Newbie with J@By NANO Clone Player

Hi all!
I've received today my new mp3/mp4 player and i'm already willing to flash it
It's a "J@By" Player, a clone of the last generation IPOD Nano, with 2 Gb of memory and support for Radio, Movies,Pictures... you can see it here:
Ebay

I'm noticing that transferring files from my HD is very slow and also that moving from a song to the next requires a second of delay... Also i think the installed software is not so well-built so i'm interested in firmware upgrading etc.
Could you help me anyway???

P.S. The chip is a Samsung one, my current firmware is 9.0.52

THANK YOU!

Hello Nutello84, because they have use different Hardware that means that you must now which COntroller (for exam. AK1025) with which Display driver must be implement into the Firmware, the Firmware will implement the Base Software and the special Software driver for the Display and the other HW, so it is necessary to now which PCB you have. But i think one way is to Clone or read out your current Firmware, after them you can flash a other SW and if they not work you can flash back the "original" sw which you have safe / clone !

nutello84 , no firmware update would fix the problems. Each firmware was specifically made for each batch of players. Even if you locate a firmware with the same version, most likely it would not work and you would end up bricking it instead.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

nutello84 , for theming, you could try using S1clone to extract the firmware. Next use S1res to modify the images used. These can be downloaded from S1mp3.de directly.
