Shuffle ALL songs

I have copied mp3s in folders to my ipod nano clone (for example: F:\Artist x \Album x\).

Is there any way to make the player shuffle songs from different folders? Can I for example make the player shuffle randoms songs from all folders? Or at least from subfolders?

Hi Knasen,

Does your player currently only shuffly through ONE folder or just the main root folder?

During playback, if you press the [menu] or [M] button, what options do you get? I know for my older players, it will ONLY SHUFFLE ONE FOLDER. But I'm not sure what firmware version player you have or what chipset you have, so it might have changed.

I've got one player with 9.1.52 and one with 9.1.53 and when I choose Menu -> Repeat I get this choices:
1.Normal
2.Repeat One
3. Folder
4.Repeat Folder
5. Repeat All
6. Random
7. Intro

As I thought.
So "Random" doesn't shuffle all the songs on the player? Only just within a FOLDER?

Try selecting "Repeat All" then "Random" and see what happens. Otherwise I think your player doesn't have the ability/function to shuffle all songs on the player within folders.
