"disk error" - looking for firmware ACT_V9.1.52, A
I have a glacier like player bought off e-bay supposed to be a 8gb ends up being a 1gb hacked.
Has 2 inch screen fm radio. It went blank one day so I did the recovery guide and installed LG-LZY_QY_066fFVO_TFT70023_2091_V9.1.52_20071028 firmware. This woke it back up I have main menu nothing seems to work but the settings icon and the radio icon if you push on the other icons I get a disk error message. I have formatted several times and installed that firmware more than once with no change. The info about my player is LG mp3 player QY-066FVO board TFT70023, 2007/11/28, ACT_V9.1.52, AK1025 chip not sure what this number is or if its even right could barley see it 29F8G08MAA. Not sure if that is the right firmware for this player please help |
Hi, the problem is that firmware usually only works with the player it is intended for so it might take a few tries of installing various firmware to get it to work properly.
Have you checked out the downloads section? Firmware can be found there. If not, perhaps someone has the same player and can upload their firmware for you. |
Re: disk error message
Try this:
1. Reset the chip as descibed in the "Dead Player recovery guide". 2. Update the firmware with MASS PRODUCT TOOL (that is, not "MP3 Upgrade Tool". 3. If the player still doesn't work, reset the chip again and update the firmware again but this time with "MP3 UPGRADE TOOL". |

Re: "disk error" - looking for firmware ACT_V9.1.5
The mass product tool can be found on the little cd that came with the player.Look the folder 1.8mp4,then look in folder called Firmware Update. There you should find Product Tool 5.12 I think this is what you are looking for.It might be in the download section not sure.I would up load it for you but I have slow speed internet and its a 10.9mb file would take me a while if you can`t find it I will upload it for you.Hope this helps
