Are you saying that you want to hard wire a new chip inside of your box, or are trying to purchase an sd or micro sd card, and install it?

Eitherway, I think the main way you'd get nand cards is via a reseller with quintuple mark up, so it' be really expensive to get just one.

If you've never done this before, you have a HIGH likliness of messing everything up!

Be careful about it, but what you would need is solder, and a soldering iron. Especially with little bitty technology, you'd want to be careful, as it's a horribly delicate operation.

Unless it's the simple matter of removing, and replacing a chip, which, based on the technicality of the link you provided, seems to be evident.

Not sure, really, the only way I can think to try, is to just get the cheapest one possible, and sacrifice it for the sake of testing.

See, the link that's on the uncyclopedia site is a hack for putting a hard drive up to it, not replacing the chip.

REPLACING would either mean cutting, and resoldering, which would be exceedingly difficult, or simply pulling out a chip, and sliding in a new one in it's place, which is more likely NOT going to be right.

This sounds like a horribly complicated project that really wouldn't be worth your time or effort, in my opinion.
