Random/Shuffle mode on old Nano Clone

I have an old-ish ipod nanoclone and I can't figure out how to get a random/shuffle mode going...All the songs are saved into the same folder.

Try pressing menu while music is playing, go to playback, and choose random- it should be about the 6th option
