Default OEM VX858

As i said, have just bought a OEM vx858 and have been reading that there are some problems with it, it's my first mp3/4 player so Im not up to date with some of the terms. What is a clone vx858 and how would I know if mine is? When someone says it will "brick your player" what do they mean? What is firmware, why does it need to be updated and can a newbie like me do it????? Im starting to wish I didnt buy this model from the sound of it, I would love it if someone could answer my questions and restore my faith in this purchase!!!!!!

If you player is working OK, don't worry.
There is no need to "update" with firmware.

A clone is a copy of the Onda vx858 player, these should be just as good as the original.

"Bricking" only usually happens if you "update" with the wrong firmware on the player, "bricking" means your player becomes dead and useless.

These players are very good and don't need to be updated.
