it already has a firmware, all mp4 players have firmware

I think perhaps what Smartguy23 was asking is whether he can 'update' the firmware on his player and theme it...?

It all depends on your player's chipset and firmware version on the player at the moment.

Looking at the description, it saids it plays .AMV video, so it tells me it's an ACTIONS chipset player. However, won't know the version until you get the player in front of you and check it out from the player's main menu.

Theming it is possible depending if the s1fws and fres tools can read the firmware that's on the player. Some of the newer ones can't be read or modified but it's hard to tell exactly which ones they are until you try it.
