Default [solved] USB Device Not Recognized

Brand new Trio 819F just came in today. I tried hooking up the USB cord to the computer from the mp3/mp4 player and I keep getting this error. Click the image to open in full size.

Hi Mavok,

Pretty much all these players are recognised by XP natively without the need of installing any extra drivers or software. What Operating System are you running? Windows XP? Or something else?

Some quick things to try and find where the problem is:

1. Try connecting your player into ANOTHER USB PORT (not to a USB hub as well by the way).

2. If it's the same error, try plugging it into ANOTHER COMPUTER instead.

3. If both those fails, try another USB CABLE. Generally it's the USB cable that's the issue.

Let us know of the result.

I tried another computer right after I found out I had this problem and it said the same thing. So yesterday I called the place I got it from and they said they would send me another one so I'll post back when that cord comes in. Thanks for your help!

Hey Mavok,

Glad to know that your problem has been solved and it was matter of a faulty USB cable (and not the connection on the player).
