Display Problems
 

Hi - I have just recovered a 1gb player (fraudulently sold as 4gb!!) and it seems ok except the screen can only be viewed fom a very obliquie angle, i.e. looking at it straight on it looks to be blank.

does anyone have any ides or should I just dump it and start again!
It's a ipod nano clone type.

GAJ , do you have any idea what firmware it is using?

If it is the earlier versions (eg v3.5.xx, v9.0.xx), you could try extracting the firmware, and use Waterlily software to increase the brightness/contrast.
