Which Onda clone is this?

you sould check on the other side of the board, i have the same mpx and i found my board id under the screen on the other side mine is a htc-039c

By the pictures and firmware version it's a Onda VX858.

This device is very troublesome to discover as there are clones which uses different chips than original Onda (like mine) and others that uses the same chips as Onda. Yours seems to be in the same group like mine.

But there is another issue Onda have produced 2 different types of VX858... with is VX858 with Wolfson audio decoder and VX858LE without Wolfson which seems to be yours (Check if you find a not so big chip with a big W and that's the Wolfson thingy)

The big problem is of you confuse each firmware you will brick your player as it aren't compatible.

I was wondering the same thing but mine has just turned everything to Chinese so I don't know how to change it back to see the system info. if you know how to change it back that would be great.
