How do i reformat my portable media player (mp4china made) ?

the mp4 player's system only accepts limited files such as mp3, mp4 as video and NES games only. My friend said that due to it's low tech Operating Sytem, it only plays limited files.

I wish to upgrade it to be able to play different file types such as Super Nintendo (SNES) games and avi and mpg videos. Please help! thanks...

Welcome to the board.
It's very RISKY to try to update the firmware on your player. Just look in the "Dead Players" section of the forum to see what I mean. There is a very high chance you get a DEAD player as a result of using an incompatible firmware.

Do you have more information about your player? Where did you buy it from? Is there a branding name on it? Can you send some photos?
