Technika mp-807. 4GB (not hacked) interesting glitch
My father got himself a 4gb Mp4 player from Tesco, and we did the whole lets format it and make sure it isnt hacked. It isnt, though it only formats in FAT32 and not FAT. That was quite a while ago so im not sure of the guarantee status of it now, but we've started noticing that there is a rather annoying glitch to it. When his battery dies, it corrupts pretty much the whole flash ram. Last time it did this (today) we went from the player being full, to 75 songs.
Anyone have an idea what might be causing this (if it's preventable)? Would a firmware flash help it, do you think? More importantly, does anyone know WHERE to get firmware for it? |
Re: Technika mp-807. 4GB (not hacked) interesting glitch
i've got the same problem with my alba mp34gd12 (this is a 4gb player). it was working fine (for a couple of months) then i switch it on it quickly flashed up some sort of code then nothing, i replaced its battery and i found i was missing a lot of tracks. to try and resolve the problem i formatted it using its on software which also puts the firmware back on it, and though that should do it, did it? no i put 199 tracks on it said and would only let me listen to 53 then 50 then back to 53 again and yet if you view the files on a pc theirs my 199 tracks, its very odd and whilst looking for a solution i came across this post, i'd thought i'd share my experience as it was similar and to say what i've tried.
