device not recognise when plug into the computer

hi i would like to get help for my mp4 players... my mp4 is MSI ms-8800.. sofware is Rock2V3MSI the problem is i can't upgrade my firmware... cos when plug it in the somputer using the USB it actually detected and says that the computer could not recognise the device... so i can't put in any song or anything inside the mp4 what should i do? or is ther any ppl who has the same problem as me? pls guide me thank you...

if you plug into computer holding play button sometimes that kicks them into firmware update mode.

Certainly works on Sigmatel ones.
