Veho VMP-009 how do I update firmware ?
 

Hi,

I've got a 4Gb Veho VMP-009 mp3/mp4 player and there is a problem with it in that the shuffle function only shuffles between the first 100 tracks (approx) - those in folders starting A to E.

Anyone any idea if this can be rectified ?

Also, I've downloaded the latest firmware file for my player ("NEW FIRMWARE.RWF") but I can't find any software to load this onto my player. I've seen a post refer to a veho firmware updater but can't find any download for it. Can anyone help me in how to update the firmware with this .RWF file ??

The latest consumer update program for this Rockchip player is here:-

The firmware file has been named WRONG it should end in .rfw NOT .rwf. :shock:

I've updated my vmp-009 and now I get a white screen - I shouldn't have trusted the veho website !!!

The updater states the version is 1.9.19 - XCW

Any ideas other than throwing this mp4 player into the bin and buying an ipod ?

I've just re-read my post and it wasn't meant to sound sarcastic, I really am grateful for the advice.

I just need to figure a way to get a new firmware version - I tried your 'blind' setting and it didn't work so must be a different menu structure.
