Reformatted my player and now doesn't play music or movies
 
I recently got a generic mp3/mp4 player that my friend paid me with. when he had it, it had music, movies and pictures on it. he decided to reformat it be fore he gave it to me and now it dont play music or movies and sometimes it doesnt come on at all. is there a solution to this problem?

Hi b10dr01d,

Check what file system it has been formatted as. Check if it's FAT, FAT32 or NTFS. You can find this out from going into the Properties of the Disk from Windows.

Tell us what format it's in because I know some players requires a SPECIFIC file system format. So if it's in FAT32, try formatting it as NTFS and if it's already NTFS, try formatting it as FAT32 (this is most likely the case) and then try it.

when i plug it into my comp 2 drives show up 1 being 7.98 gig and the other being .97 mb
