how to extract firmware from rockchip player?
 

please... i need to guide about how to extract rockchip firmware or rockchip firmware extractor.
is it impossible? how can i find rockchip firmware extractor??
help me!! ㅠ_ㅠ

what player, not possible with older rockchip players, but i with newer rk2706 chips

pics, model etc ..

My player is vx747

right

you say its a vx747, but is it an original vx747 or the rockchip verison

if it is the rockchip version then we can extract the files for the firmware very easily which will allow you to mod the player also very easily to if you desire

i imagine you do hve the rockchip version so try this

download and copy this file to the root of the main players flash memory
disconnect and shut down the player
plug player back in again

you will now see another new dirve appear , 60meg in size and a load of files on it, these files are the firmware DO NOT DELETE THEM
copy them to your pc and you now have a backup should anything go wrng

also on the player main memory are there any files called a nae ending in RKW, if so this is the firmware file also, it is a packaged up version of all the fiels on the 60 meg partition

thanks for posting reply. my vx747 is rockchip version. what does 'this file' mean? i can't understand.. is 'this file' what kind of program? where can i download?

no program

the file is called

"rkusb.tag"

all you do is put it on your player main memory and disconnect and shut down the player

now plug the player back into the computer and you will see the new drive

there is no program for the computer needed to extract the firmware and no program needed to load the firmware
