In terms of conversions - I am on Mac. Soooo thats why I went with the web based converter. I can use PC when I absolutely have to but either Mac native or web based is easier.
Any ideas what settings? I used the default .mov (and .avi and .mpg) to amv but no workee. If I knew what to set I would use the advanced settings but alas...
1. Mac or help w Web converter?
2. Firmware - how to find right one?
3. Weird format error.

I think I've got the solution for you. (For me too, actually. Right now I don't want to go out to my PC--I have a baby goat sleeping on my lap. I should not mention that she already chewed through my headphone wires...)
Kopy Mac is supposed to be able to aid in copying without those pesky resource forks (._ files and .DS_Store etc) and get rid of the ones that might already be on your player (press the Clean button).

I just tried it. It works. I can now scroll through my image files.
I hope this helps. (Oh, an by default, any PC will show the Mac resource files and they can be deleted the same as you would any files on a PC. That's why I suggested that at first, but I totally understand how it just isn't handy sometimes. And so does baby Baaah.)
