How to: Unplug/Remove your MPx player from Windows
Instructions in the FAQ thread "How to: Unplug/Remove your MPx player from Windows" does not work for me.
I only have a "Safely Remove Hardware" icon next to the clock. Double clicking on that brings up a window that has "USB Mass Storage Device" and an external DVD writer. An external HD is also shown, but my little Sansa Express is not shown. In the 'Device Manager' it is shown as "Sansa Express" under "Portable Devices". When Win Explorer is open it shows up under the usual tree structure as "Sansa Express" with directories for "Expansion Card" and "Internal Memory". But can't find anything anywhere to stop the player. What should I do to unplug/remove safely? |
i thin the sansa is different as it may not presentto windows as a USB mass storage device but have its own set of drivers etc
these cheap clones are managed as USB memory sticks, branded and better sansa devices probably do not work this way and wont be seen by the methods you found here |
