[solved] "File Format" error viewing videos on Roc
Hi guys. I need help.
I have a Betop MP4 player which (via chip checking software) I found has a Rockchip USB RK260X chip. It has a 2.4" screen (not touchscreen). According to the manual it can play AVI and many other forms of vids. I have tried Numerous AVI converter software now and just cannot seem to get any movies to play on it. The original clips which came with it work. But every time I try put a new file on, it tells me File format Error. The disc also came with only Win98 drivers. How do I upgrade the firmware? The player does not seem to have any reset holes anywhere that I am aware of. I am not as bright as you guys with these things soI need all the help I can get. I have attached a picture of the player and I do apologise if this has been answered elsewhere. I could not find anything though (ignorant and stupid as I am). I cannot even seem to find a site for Betop. I have bought the player in Thailand if that helps with anything. Many thanks in advance for your help. Regards Wolflock |
Hi Wolflock
Use viDrop, it's made for this type of player. http://www.mympxplayer.org/tool-vidr...ter-df821.html Don't try to "upgrade" the firmware, there are no upgrades, you willl only end up killing your player with the wrong one. |
Re: Betop MP4 Player Help with Firmware and vid please
Please forgive my ignorance. I downloaded viddrop. It loads but I see no program or anything to work with. Is it a plugin for another program?

I got it working. The program works perfectly. Many, Many thanks for the advice.

Hi Wolflock,
That's good to know that you have fixed the problem. Can you do me a favour and UPLOAD the sample video that came with your player? Would be great to share it out with other members. |
