I'm not very good with firmwares, but it sounds like your firmware had the 'FM Radio' function but your mp3 player doesn't have the FM reciever. But still, thats kinda funny that it appeared outta nowhere.

never heard of this before and i am afraid i can not think of a solution

the only possible way this happened is by update but you say you did not do that, so it is very conusing

dont upgrade it at all - it will be worse as there is a 99% chance it will fail and all you will e left with is a white screen -

just gonna have to put up with the radio thing and avoid it, upgrading will lead to more trouble

It is quite common for bits of left over code, extra unused pictures and bugs from other players to be in the firmware of these players.

The coding is very poor and its seems very little testing or tidying up is done on the firmware side, but as makd511 said there is nothing we can do we just have to live with it.

i think if have the better option but it is technical ..........if you have some hard ware idea then it is simple if the option came there and no FM reciver then simple solder the FM reciver becasue every mp3 or mp4 of these days have the place on the mp4 where you can put the reciver ,so with just the small hassle you will get the fm too.

Hi kenzoc,

The FM transmitter is an ADDED hardware feature in MP4 players. I know when I asked Chinese manufacturers for MP4 players, they asked if I wanted the FM Transmitter chip installed which cost about an extra US$1 or $2.

So, what I would say is your player DOESN'T have the FM Transmitter, but for some 'bug' in your player's firmware, the "FM" option appeared but because your player physically doesn't have the FM Transmitter installed, it produces that error.

That would be my reasoning behind it.

Hope that helps.
