i think that is simple the your MP4 firmware dont accept the BMP format image and it is same in the video too.If it is accepting the AVI format then the AVI will work only on your MP4 and if it is accepting AVI but not opening it then there should must be a sample in your player of AVI clip ........... install the Total Video Converter and open that sample video in the Total Video Converter and see the dimensions it is accepting and then make the new video as the same as the sample.

Format errors on AVI files are often the result of converting using the wrong screen size. Do you know what size your screen is?

First: download and install this: http://www.mympxplayer.org/rockchip-...120-df884.html - this is the software to do fw-updates 4 Rockchip-Players.

Second: do follow the dead Recovery Guide to reset your nexus and to notice controlnumber, platenumber and screennumber

Third: ask s1fw in the fw-forum for the right fw by telling him the controlnumber, platenumber and screennumber

Fourth: follow s1fw answered link and download the fw

Fifth: decompress the archiv and start the consumerupdate. Open the *.rfw-file, connect your nexus, start updating

I forgot Zero: Calm down and relax - you seem to act like a crying child !

Yes you've done a big mistake by flashing the wrong firmware into the nexus, but your player isn't lifeimportent and help is on the way - please relax now!

The controlnumber is RK2606A - thats right and well knowned. But we don't need the label of the flashram, we are needing the number/label of the plate and the number/label of the screen too. These values are missing until now: Lift the screen slowly and carefully: the number/label should be placed under the screen. Watch the Dead Recovery Guide again for an example and you will find/identify the number of the plate too ...
Post these values again in the forum "Firmware" - and only theire ... doubleposts won't be helpful!

heretik
This is how to get into update mode,

All you do is this,

1) Switch the player OFF using the main on/off switch.

2) Hold down the "MENU" or the "PLAY" button and keep it held down.(try the other buttons if these dont work)

3) Connect the usb to the player.

4) Wait for about 10 seconds before releasing the button.

5) You should be now in "ROCK USB" upgrade mode

6) Then just start ConsumerUpdate and upload your firmware.

here are selection of firmwares for 220x176 to try:-
