Default I have no idea where to start

My partner has just brought an imitation ipod from Phuket. It didn't come with instructions and i have no idea how to make it work. It took me 20mins just to work out how to ask someone this question.
Do simple instruction exist anywhere that might be able o help me???
Cheers

Does it even power up? If not, try connecting it to your computer via USB to charge the battery.

If it does power up, can you connect it to your PC via USB? If so, can you browse your player like it was a USB drive?

The problem with iPod clones is that there are so many varieties out there there really is no way to keep track of them. Most of the public-brand iPod clones are made by no-name manufacturers and most of these never get the support needed from firmware upgrades, etc... A lot of times, the manufacturer does a production run of a product like this, ships it out to the customers, and then starts building something new. Most of these public-brand products do not have any kind of maufacturer even marked on the packaging, the product, or the user manual.

You could try asking the people whom sold it to your partner for the instructions but chances are they don't have it either.
