Default My Mp4 touch lost 8gb flash memory

When i put a new video in my computer and disconnect the mp4 all files had been deleted.

When o connect again the device to my computer say that the unit dont have format and if i want to format this. I format this but when i dosconnet again the mp4 of pc all memory dissapear.

In about menu say Flash memory 0/MB and my mp4 must have 8GB.

I dont know how i can recover the memory of mp4. If i can find the firmware for this device i can try to use this to solve the problem.

Note: if i try to format the flash memory again from my pc say that there arent any disk in H unit.

Hi hlondono,

It sounds like a fault with the memory chip.

Firstly try using a DIFFERENT USB CABLE. Sometimes it's a problem with the USB cable as well that can also cause the problem. That would be the quickest and easiest way to check.

Secondly, try doing a check disk on your player's drive from within Windows. There is a Knowledge Base article about it on the left hand side menu bar under "Knowledge Base". Try the steps there and see if that fixes the problem.

Let us know of the result.

Also, has the problem ALWAYS happened or only happened recently?

This proplem has been with me since I had the player. The whole unit would not reboot.I have opened the back and it seemed the battery was loose, I repositioned and secured the battery with limited response. I.E. It rebooted but will still not retain any media after I turn the unit off. Works well, untill I turn the damn thing off !

Hi skitz,

Sounds like the internal memory on the player is faulty. If you can, try to get it replaced under warranty from the seller. Can you do that? It would probably be better if you can, especially if it's happened from day one.
