Is Samsung 737 K9LAG08UOM PCBO really 4GB?

My friend bought a 4 GB mp4 few weeks ago, and when he tried to install a 2GB IPod theme for it he somehow formated it to 2 GB, so i´ve got two questions:
1. Is Samsung 737 K9LAG08UOM PCBO really 4GB?
and secondly, if it is how do I format it back?
