[solved] format error/wrong video format...
 

my mp4 is minmi pfm240 1Gb
i cant play videos, says format error. ive used the mp3 utilities and other converters... but it doesnt work... ive tried changing the resolution, and other settings... the sample video together with it was deleted long time ago.
i really dont know what to do with this..please help me

by the way, when i put .amv there's no icon on the mp4
but when i put .avi it has a blue icon..like i can play it, but says format error

What version is your firmware? We will need to know if it is an Action chipset or Rockchip player.

If it is Action, format errors generally occur when the player has been hacked to show more memory than what is really on the player. The player will show that the file has been downloaded, but in reality, it is a ghost file and when you try to play it comes up with format errors. If it turns out to be an Action chipset player, I suggest you follow the instructions posted here: How To: Removing Memory Hack in order to find out the true memory and prevent further problems with your player.

If it is a Rockchip player, format errors are usually the result of using the wrong screen size when converting. So if your player is Rockchip, we will need to know the screen size in order to help.

ive tried avi converter 2.0 with resolution 220x176

i dont know how to determine the firmware...
can you tell me how? btw, can i have other games and themes with my player?

my mp4 player is like the mp4 player on the thread named my-mp4 player something..i forgot..
