Default Help on how to install RK2706 MP5 3.0" Firmware

[sub:b411062848]I hope somebody can help me, I bought an "MP5" player on ebay and after some weeks the screen went blank. It actually illuminates but is white.
I am thinking the firmware is corrupted. Unfortunately I didn't make a back up, I don't know how to.
I found a firmware posted that has a description and picture that meets my player's , this is the link:

http://www.mympxplayer.org/rockchip-...-am-df898.html

I downloaded this file but don't know what to do with it... I need somebody to walk me through the process, cause I am very new at this.
Any help will be appreciated.[/sub:b411062848]

There is a guide here:-

http://www.mympxplayer.org/firmware-...s-vt10856.html

It has all you need to know.

Before you install the firmware, try to backup your old firmware first, EVEN if you think it is corrupted, it may help you to recover the player as it contains very important files which are unique to your player.

Thank you, I was able to back up my firmware fine, but I don't see a guide on reinstalling it... Do I Just copy the files to this hidden Partition?

Yes that's all you need to do, just copy the 4 folders included in the file you downloaded into the hidden partition and then reboot the player.

Thank you for your help... I still have a blank screen... no luck... I guess it is not the firmware but a hardware problem with the screen.

firmwares are different even for players that look the same

we just need to find another firmware extrated from a player like that

can you try and format the drive this time DO NOT DISCONNECT and then try your own files back on again, also a format of the ain players memory may help too but back up s it wil destroy the data

Thank you all... I have tried 3 different firmwares... but no luck. With two of them the screen iluminates but are white and with the other one it won't turn on.
I guess if a firmware problem, but still have not found the right one.
