Default [solved] File Format Error for MP3s & Videos on SD-Card

Hey. I just bought a MP4-Player today. It seems to be a Onda-Clone, to be specific: it seems to be this one here:
http://www.mympxplayer.org/onda-clon...ay-vt8729.html.

The Retailer only had a 2gb-version, so I took an additional 4gb-sd-card. the problem is, that i can perfectly watch videos from the internal flash memory, but i can't watch the same videos from the sd-card (file format error). same with mp3's. I went to the retailer today and we tested 3 players of this type and 2 sd-cards, but the problem was always the same. so i think, it is just a general and hopefully software-related problem.

Anyone experiencing the same problems? Does anyone have a solution?

Maybe a firmware update, but I have no idea which firmware I should get.

The only information I have is from Settings > About:
00.00.0001
2007-12-13

maybe this helps a little!

thank you a lot for your help!

thing to try is a different sd card, was the sd card and SDHC one, if so it wont work on these older players

also please see this post related to these types of players

http://www.mympxplayer.org/do-not-up...r-vt11069.html

hat post applies to your player i am afraid,

if the sd card aint working then no firmware will be any different as they all use the same core code

this is a common problem, some sd cards wil work and some wont

sorry, but also try and format the card to see, as long as it is not an SDHC card as they will not work

so its may be a case of trying even more cards to see what one works with your player

Don't do anything with the firmware.

Rockchip rk2608 players will work with some 4GB cards, but not with SDHC type.

Not all cards work, The brand I have used is Topram which you can get on ebay, and 4GB is an absolute maximum with these players.

hey. i didn't even have to look for a new sd-card, as the trick with formatting the card worked perfectly.

so for everyone having the same problems: just try formatting the card (i formatted with FAT32 as i have a 4gb card)

regards
