Default Rockchip RK27XX Help!

Ok i wanted to make a backup of my firmware so i downloaded the "Rockchip RK27xx Series Firmware extraction" file and put the "rkusb.tag" on my MP5 player. I did this just fine. The problem enters here. I then deleted the "rkusb.tag" from my MP5 player and unplugged it and turned it off. I then waited about 30 seconds and plugged it back up to my PC and to my surprise the Firmware folders are still in view. It finds 3 flash disk. The SYS (firmware), the User and then the SD card. How can i make it so the SYS disk is no longer shown like it was before i backed up my firmware? Thanks

We'll good thing is you backed up your firmware, keep it safe.

I have heard of this happening before, but it never happened to me yet.

Did you try to put rkusb.tag on the player again?, as if the partition wasn't there, and try removing it again. Also try switching the power switch off before you reboot to clear any hidden settings, the player must somehow "think" the tag is still there.

Yeah i tried putting it back on and taking it back off and have powered it off and on over and over. I've tried just about everything. I turned it off and kept it off for an hour then tried it on a different PC and it still has the SYS disk. I've formated the space where i put the rkusb.tag file but that didn't do anything either.

does the player have a reset hole or a way of resetting the player, like holding power button or more than 10 seconds, this works with other players but as we are finding, they are not all the same

so if there is a reset hole then poke it
if not turn player on then hold power button for 10 seconds,

see if this helps

cheers

Yeah theres a reset button on the side. Sadly tho i've tried it and it doesn't help. I'm starting to think that i am stuck with the firmware SYS disk being exposed and opened now.

you could always try and delete the entry from the device manager, it will show up as "sys USB Drive", if you go into device manager and uninstall that reference then hopefully it will disappear

Yeah i've tried uninstalling just the SYS USB Disk but everytime i hook it back up it finds it and installs it again. I could just disable F: (which is the SYS Disk) and that would make it go away but only for my PC. I would really just like to be able to fix it so where i don't have to disable anything but thats looking more and more less likely.
