Default Battery Replacement?

Ok so my battery wouldn't hold a charge for more than a hour (says fully charged and then dies within an hour) so i decided to replace it. I purchased a battery off of ebay thats 1100mah and 3.7v. I'm guessing that the mahs are higher then the original cheap battery that came with it but the voltage is still the same at 3.7v.

Ok so heres my questions.

Battery: 3.7v 1100mah
Charger: 5.2v 400-500ma

Can i still use my USB charger to charge this battery? Will it take longer to charge? Will it charge the battery to the maximum charge? Will it harm the battery in any way?

I think the only problem with my player is the battery. I took a cell phone battery an rigged it up to test it and it stays charged and works fine. My problem is the charging of the new battery. I have had it on charge for 24 hours now. Yes 24 hours. It seems to be averaging a bar every 10-12 hours. Its just charging really really slow. I went to amazon and ordered a new USB charger thats 1000mah which means it should charge faster now.

For Actions chipset, charging circuit is calibrated to the original battery and so will limit the charging current to safe level for the original battery. Other chipset should be similar.

Charging Lion battery at higher than its maximum safe current will cause fire/explosion.

500mA is more than enough already. Lion battery should not be charged above 0.8C, most charging circuit in MP4 charge at around 0.5C or less to prolong battery life.

Ok so is that why i can't get the 3rd bar on my battery when i charge it? I have tried 3 batteries so far and i've tried different chargers but im not able to get the 3rd bar on the battery.
