Default Version 9.x.x players

I'm getting the impression from the posts on the sight that there is no way to repair a 9.x.x dump so there is no way to get a successful firmware to recover a dead player...

Can anyone confirm if that is still the case or point me in the right direction to get help to recover mine?

CTW500 is a somewhat rarer chip...

If you know your board ID you can try those.

It actually looks like they just finished revamping the site layout and such. The link problems I was having were related. Since I have downloaded a couple firmwares to try and flash it, but I think I've really killed the player now. Now I don't get any response to the power button or plugging it into a pc

Oh well, that was the risk I took.
