Here are 3 firmwares which are from the same type of player as yours, no guarantees they will work any better though, you may have a hardware problem, a lot of these players arn't very well made i'm afraid.

Touchscreen conductive strip has become loose or touchscreen is damaged. Hardware problem for sure, and not really worth fixing.

Hi everybody, thank you all! After re-installed firmwares and tried different ones many times, I suddenly found a post mentioning that Silicone case is a bad one for MP5. I used Silicone case, but one day it seemed pretty wet. Finally I figured out that it is caused by Silicone case which makes the MP5 very wet during playing. This makes the touch screen not working at all. After these days, I have stopped using Silicone case and let it dry for a few days. Now it works!

Amazing....

Thanks for letting us know, and glad your player works again.

Just use a protective foil for your touchscreen and ditch the case.

Hi amyjohnson,

Thanks for taking the time to post to say you have resolved your issue.

It's a good thing you did as I didn't know that and will definitely keep it in mind.
