Hy,
i have just buy one player style IPOD NANO 3°gen. 8Gb.
I don't can format with MP3 Player tools because he sayd "no detected removable disk" but otherwise WIN XP and HP Format tools read this.
XP and HP read 8Gb, bur MP3 Player tools after say that non detected player it make to see me 4Gb but is impossible formatting.
Why?

Re: Ipod Clone nano 3^ gen.

Use different version of player utilities.

Firmware version shown in setup menu is almost meaningless. If you want a better identification you'll have to open it up and find the part# of board and CPU.

Have you tried formatting it just using WINDOWS instead?

Looking at your player's firmware version, it's NOT an ACTIONS chipset player, so the MP3 Player Utilities won't work on it unfortunately as that only works on ACTIONS chipset based players.

Re: Ipod Clone nano 3^ gen.

Your player has a real 8GB flash.

I have no idea what the SGS651 is. This player does not appear to be Actions-based.
