Volume up button does not work

well my problem is that the Volume up button does not work I even soldered in a new button clicky thing and still doesnt work I need help make this thing work. pls help

If you are sure you soldered the new button in properly, the problem is somewhere else on the PCB. Follow the circuit traces of the button to the chipset and test for continuity with a multimeter. You should find the broken trace quickly.

It seems to be a hardware problem than anything else (as you've already discovered). Question, is the player still under warranty? If it is, I would recommend getting it sorted under warranty.

The other option is to email dealextreme and ask them about the problem and what can done to fix. It's worth a try asking the question to see what happens, if you don't ask, you never know.

thanks for responding my player doesnt have warranty anymore Ill try to find continuity with a multimeter. and Also Im going to ask on dealextreme, and see how else has had problem. I keep informing.
