Hi Guys, I have exact player as one below.

Question is how can I extract its firmware?
I peek inside and found two "chips" I guest.

here's one:

SUNPLUS
SPMP 3052A - HL17
0637
M187x15

the other one have "samsung" and some numbers.

My intention is just to edit something like "icons and backgrounds".
No intention of upgrading. I've searched the forum and download tools
but it's not working for me. Some links to download some tools also not working. Thanks in advance.

this player actually uses adobe flash for the user interface. based on a system called WRTIME.

as far as i know you cant extract firmware from these players and even if you did you cant just change the icons as you will need to know how the WRTIME flash system is created. it may not just be a normal flash file and may need a dedicated compiler etc

so as far as i know nothing as yet can be done to mod the look of these players using this system
