Need help with newly purchased '16GB' touch from Ebay
I recently purchased a '16'GB mp4 player on ebay, I came across this site and tried to do the memory hack fix, but i'm having some issues. So I downloaded and installed MP3 player utilites 4.10, problem is when I open the program it doesn't recognize the MP4 player connected to my computer, I get the "No device found error". My computer recognizes the harddrive, but the utilities program does not. So that's where I'm stuck.
Two other things to note, When I plug the MP4 player into my computer two hardrives pop up, one has '15.8' GB of space, the other has 0 GB of space. Also, I get the file error when I try MPG, and AVI files, even though the player should be able to read them. Can someone offer some help? Thanks! |
You player is probably a Rockchip, not sure which rockchip though, please post a picture of your player and post the firmware version number from the system setting.

Re: Need help with newly purchased '16GB' touch from Ebay
Hey Knob, thanks for responding to my e-mail. Here's a listing for the same MP4 player that I purchasing. I'm almost positive it's a rockchip, that's mentioned whenever I disconnect the player from my computer. I'm not sure how to check the version number, if I go to About->System->About, on the player the version is listed as 00.00.0000. Does any of that help?

Your player is a Rockchip RK2608 player.
You need to convert all your videos to .avi, use viDrop to do this:- http://www.mympxplayer.org/tool-vidr...ter-df821.html Set the preset resolution to "Generic Rockchip 320x240" in viDrop . This extra drive 0GB is for the memory card slot, don't worry memory hack, Rockchips are not usually memory hacked. |
