free video converter

I recently dowmloaded free video converter from coyotesoft, but when I try to use it all I get is:
free video converter has encountered a problem and needs to close.
No matter what I do I cannot get this program to work.
I had it installed a while back, and it worked fine,but i removed it to try something else,but since re installing it as I said I can't get it to work.
PLEASE CASOMEONE HELP

try to install a codec pack first:
google klite codec pack!
that should do it!

What is it that you want to do? Are you wanting to convert videos to .avi so it can be played on your player? If it is, try using viDrop instead. Have a look at this post here: viDrop - free open-source converter for RockChip players.
