Default Windos XP won't recognise my player, only charges

Well, this is the problem, windows xp dont recognize my MPx ( PMA300_006 ; RYJ 5.5.35); I connect it to USB and nothing happens, just the battery charges, but I cant "organize" the music, or put new music, I tryed with your "drivers pack for 98/Me" but it doesnt work, and, in internet, this is the only web page wich can help me....well.... any ideas?

Sorry for my bad english, and, thx ^^

Does the device show up in Device Manager?

Tried it on a different computer?

Most likely the problem is with the USB CABLE itself.

Try a different USB cable and see if that works. Most likely one of the pins on the USB cable is faulty so it will charge, but your computer won't recognise it because of the faulty pin/s.

Let us know.

Let us know how you get on as it seems to be more a problem with the USB CABLE than anything else. The USB cables should be fairly easy to find and cheap, otherwise you can look for it on eBay as well.

USB cable on eBay.es

Hope that helps.
Do let us know when you do find out what the solution is.

Default usb problem

hi,
I've the same problem.
For my device i noticed that if I disable usb 2.0 from the motherboard settings and I only allow usb 1.1 connection I can see the unit correctly.
Obviously transfer speed is very low.
I'm trying to find a fix for the problem (I read somewhere it's a known problem...)

hi!
did you see correctly files setting usb as 1.1?
You can also disable usb 2.0 from within windows, as shown below (I know, my windows installation language is italian, but I think you will find the way anyway...)

yes, maybe under linux it could work (I've not tried for now) but it would be a lot better to fix the problem under windows.
It could also be a bad quality cable problem, but I think that most probably it's a drivers problem...
keep me update!
regards
francesco
