When connected to PC does not recognize it. Unknown device

I did change usb ports on my WinXP computer and same problem. My Ubuntu Linux computer didn't recognize it either.

Have you tried a different USB CABLE instead to see if that helps?

Hey I have that same 'ipod' pictured above, however mine when turned on or connected to a pc will only display an hourglass. It will never progress further.

When I connect it to a PC no matter what port I use and/or cable it still wont be recognized. It asks for a driver file, but I dont have one.

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
