Can you try downloading this sample MTV video here? --> Sample Video: MTV format for 1.8" screen player. See if that works on your player or not.

Do you have a SAMPLE video on your player as well? If you do, can you upload it somewhere and post a link so we can download it and have a look?

Also, try installing this tool here --> MTV Video Converter 1.12.11.3.

Sorry for the late response....

I already downloaded the sample file for the 1.8 inch screen and received the same error message : FILE VER: 003

VER Not Supported

.................................................. ...........

I have also converted files with MTV Video Converter 1.12.11.3. , I have posted all the sizes and specs I tried ... all come back with the same/similar message, format not supported....

The player came with MTVVideoConverter_V1.11.4, which also gave the same error messages.....

This is frustrating and my kids are so disappointed...... Why can this player not read the format?

For of those of you who are interested, it turns out that the factory shipped the entire batch of players with the wrong software, the supplier is emailing me the new software......
