Please help an idiot with Ramos 960 software

Hi everyone,
Firstly I'd like to congratulate you on a great forum site. There seem to be some real experts on here and I think I need the assistance of one.

I was bought a Ramos 960 for Xmas and I'm tearing my hair our as I can't get the think to work. As I'm a complete idiot with this kind of thing I took it to a friend who told me I needed the "drivers and software". I looked in the box to find that I don't have such a disc.
Can anyoine help me as I've got a funky looking little MP4 that is, at the moment, nothing more than an ornament.
Everything on the box has the hologram logos and the correct markings and serial numbers are on the unit so I'm convinced it's genuine.
Doesd anyone have a copy of the disc they can let me have so that I can get this damn thing going?
Pleas, pretty please with sugar on top.

Never heard of RAmos 960, are you sure you don't mean the RAmos RM970?

Does it look like this?:-

If so then you have a RK27xx series Rockchip, it should work straight out of the box, no software needed.

Also thre manual is in Chinese and I can't figure out how to get all the screen texts in English. Any ideas?
